18s to 19s...

I was looking into rims...

I am not asking which one is prettier... This is a Tech Performance Question...

I was look at Konig HotSwaps, look like a pretty light rim...

Do you think going to 19s is okay? I want a bigger rim (i live in florida you gotta ride big ) and am wondering if this will greatly effect anything directly? If so then ill stick with 18s... I think the tires are fine, but i dont want money to be a factor for any opinions here..

Thanks!

when upgrading to aftermarket rims on the ss s/c its only natural to go to 19's becuase any aftermarket 18in rim on the ss will look small, no problems with putting them on but you might wanna get your fenders rolled just my 2 cents

Yea thats what i want...

I figured it would look a little funny cause of how much bigger stock tire size is compared to the one i would get...

Thanks for the input!

fender rolled = ??

there are some websites that give you the "overall diameter" of the tire in comparison to the stock setup for the car. use that as your reference, not wheel size

Taht fender rolling thing is pretty sweet.. i like it...

Im looking to either have the same size overall diameter or just a little bigger, but with still decreasing the tire size itself..

WE should race...

Do you know any tuners down this way?? Im really in need...

It will hurt your performance because your moving more of the weight to the outside of the wheel. How much of this will you notice? It all depends on where your loosing the performance, if you do any open track racing, drag racing or auto x, it will hurt you. If your talking about a 30-70mph roll, you probably won't notice anything.

Biggger rims will decrease acceleration and perhaps braking depending on weight and in theory.
