wondering if that 2.2 ported head offered by gm would fit the cobalt ss without raising compression.

 

i woudn't think they would have messed with the head to lower it, more then likely they changed block,rod,crank size that would be the right thing to do. otherwize it would make it more of an interferance motor (valves hit piston, no liky) the only thing i would be counserned about is if everything bolts up right (it to the block, and manifolds) stuff like that.

 

Yes, I was wondering this too. But I am inclined to believe that they should be the same like he said ^^^^
