2.6 pulley

hey guys im jsut curious if u need to install both a smaller belt and a larger tensioner pulley to install a 2.6 if so

how do u guys get the belt on with the larger instense tensioner pulley, cuz the brace interferes witht he belt

I have the GM Stage 2 belt and the ZZP adjustable tensioner for my 2.6" pulley.

My 2.6" did NOT slip with the gm stg 2 belt.

It didn't? Mine slipped so I put the tensioner on there and have had no problems at all. Guess I got bad luck lol.

Chances are it will slip. It is a very tight fit with the stage II pulley which is about 3". However, once you get a smaller pulley I think it would be best to get the ZZP tensioner. Just remember with a 2.6 you also need a tune. Don't want to see anything go pop on your car. Good luck.

I just got my 2.6. I bought the Oversized Supercharger Tensioner Pulley from intense. It only cost 20 buck i believe.

how did u get it and the belt with the little arm to work, i ground it down but ti doesnt look like the belt and the little spring like arm doesnt look liek itll fit with the stage 2 belt

cuz i have the tensioner, but it doesnt seem like its gonna fit with the belt installed with out rubbing the belt ahrdcore

I have the stage 2 belt. I havent installed it yet, but looking at the intense website they say you just need to file down the adjustable tensioner.

Last week I went on the dyno to tune with a 2.6 and just the Stage 2 belt and everytime I got to 6000rpms it slipped BAD! I now have the Intense tentioner pulley and Stage 2 belt.

How was it to install the tensioner pulley. Did you have to grind alot of the tensioner???
