2.8 pully question

2.8 pully question

I went to remove me stock pully and i notice it had 5 groves in it but when i looked at the intense 2.8 pully it had 8 on it. anyone no anything about this.

the belt doesn't go over all hte grooves on the aftermarket one.

I dunno I have the smoothflow 2.8 (nherbst) pulley and it's just like the stocker!

ya but if it doesnt go over all of the groves the belt can move and the snap.

No, it's too big of a groove for it to jump out! If you are worried about it... send it back get a smoothflow pulley it's the same size as stock and like $50

It is different because Intense uses the same pullies for the GTP as the SS/SC. The belt will NOT jump grooves cuz the belt itself is grooved. I'm not sure which grooves the belt goes on for the Intense pulley, but judge it to check straight alignment. If it squeeks, move it over a groove. Start with the belt all the way over to the blower side of the pulley. Hope this helps.
