nice, im getting ready to do the same thing. I am going with the gm stage 2 kit, and full exhaust, cai, and the 2.9 pulley, along with motor/trans mounts. Right now I am 100% stock, but then again i have only had the car for like a week haha.

Nice, it looks like the temps didn't rise much then, thats a good thing. I was wondering if I was going to need any cooling mods, guess not.

Very nice, thats how I was driving home after I had the majority of my mods installed and the car HP tuned

I'd look for a HP tuner a.s.ap., and larger injectors if your still on stock ones. I'm running a 2.9 and 42.5 injectors with a IDC above 100% at WOT. Hopefully a AFR tune when my wideband comes in will solve that, if not 60s here I come!

Your IAT2s should remaining around 90-120 cruisin, 120-150 WOT with a 2.9. Though those numbers are variable and depends on your car and how aggressive your tune is, as every car is a freak in its own way.

Before continuing with any performance mods, look into tuning your AFR, you may be leaning out to much on that stage 1 tune with your modified airbox. (I am unfortunately, AFR tuning soon ftw)

May I recommend you the CA 1" Traction bars to obliterate our cars nasty wheel hop. Why make power when you can't use it? One of my favorite purchases.

I'm no genius, nor do I really know how to work on cars. But it seems your heading the same route myself and many others have taken with the 2.9 setup.

GL!

Btw, when you get that flux capacitor, let me know, maybe we can arrange a group buy and all be able to generate 100,000 gigawatts!?!

If you have the stock injectors, they hate you. If you follow your plans you said above, you will love it if you change injectors. I have full exhaust, s2,2.9, and airbox mod and looveeee it for now. I am sure I will do a major upgrade soon though.

I loved the 2.9 when I had it.
Really felt like a whole new car.

Concensus at the time though was the the 2.9 maxed the 42 lb'ers.
I never verified it, but it might be something to keep in mind.

Glad your happy with it! That smile will stick around for a while!

My Nates 2.9 is on the way to go with my newly installed S2 kit. I guess the concensus is that the 2.9 will provide about 10 hp over the S2 pulley and allow the car to reach max boost faster?

I really dont know how much extra hp it will get but A smaller pulley will make your PSI go up quicker.

Weird, I am hitting 19.5 psi boost at WOT with my 2.9 and a stock stage 2 tune.

That seems high for a 2.9.....I know guys with 2.8's that arent making quite that much boost. Are you still running the stock boost guage?
