Bad GTP how will the stock internals hold up to this mad? i mean rumors have it that the stock pistons can only hold 300hp and the stock head can hold only 270. i also wanted to know how do you set up the MAF translator? is it something anyone can do or do you need software and a dyno?

I read there was question about warranty. After 16+ years as dealer technician and a couple as a service manager, here is my humble advice on warranty. Visit your local service departments, talk to the service manager, explain what you are doing and ask what HE will accept as maximum amount of modifications you can do w/o voiding the warranty. Some will say NONE! Some will say exhaust, air intake and maybe a slightly smaller pulley, and others will say we won't tell if you don't tell. I've worked at all 3 types and it is better to be upfront about it than to try and hide it. Just my .02

4 : Dyno shows that the 06 are leaner (air fuel ratio in the low 12) for the last few RPM's than 05, those 05 were too rich (10.8 of air fuel ratio).

I have my boost soliniod grounded out at WOT with a microswitch and if I am not pushing down on that switch I get boost pulled at about 5000+ RPM. This is with a 3 inch pulley.

This is definitly making me want the GM kit even more now because I see the GM kit being as good if not better when combined with the 2.8" pulley.

honestly, all that stuff is not hard to install. Youll have to know someone that can tune your car, but the maft is a pretty common tuner and you should be able to find someone who knows how to use one.
Rent a pulley puller, splice in the wires, and installing injectors is a breeze.

Gm stage 2 at dealer cost for me is $525 ish. This is $507 and its 20whp more in my opinion screw gm on this one. Sorry I love gm but 20whp is 20whp and if your not getting a dealer discount id say get this its a hell of alot cheaper. Just dont mix this with many other mods without new pistons, that is what ROb informed me of.

hey man thanks for answering my question even though you prolly didnt mean to. I guess after this mod you really can't do much unless you swap out pistons. Now my question is what about the head? can the head take this much power?

the head is fine...270 is a very conservative number from gm, the upgrade head just flows better, thats all really...
my thinking is that they noticed the air flow start to suffer some around 270 and decided that they could make some more mula by offering a upgradable head
