2007 Ss/sc G85

Last month I decided to wait until the 07 SS/SC comes out or order one, but I found a post somewhere(cant locate it now) and it was saying that they are not going to have the G85 package any more. Is this true? If so I really screwed up by not ordering an 06 SS/SC. Any info would be great because I am going to the dealer this up coming Saturday to see about placing my order.

The one post that I was reading said that is was no longer a factory option you can only get it from the part department. I really hope this is wrong, I will keep tring to find the post so I can get a link.

Parts only atm. GM has temporarily deleted the G85 (seat/LSD) package but you can order them separately as parts for dealer install.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...3336&highlight

I really hope there is no truth to this(in the US anywase). I guess if it is true I will start looking for 06 or see if I can still order one.

I would ask the dealership or GM directly. They should have it by next year (I hope) if you can wait that long. (potentially save for a bigger down payment)

I will have to check this out. Got a quote yesterday for $22,337 on an 06 fully loaded SS/SC (G85,XM,Onstar,sunroof) with my dads employee discount. I'm still leaning towards an srt4 but 0% financing on the cobalt makes me say 'hrmm'.

Edit: Link
Looks like he is right. 0% from June 27th - July 5th

I just went on GM Buypower and built it with G85, you have to remember to click on Black leather with BLACK INSERTS for the G85 option to pop up.

I just saw the commercial on TV. I guess I will be getting an 06 SS/SC on Saturday. I can't wait! I wish I could get an 07 SS/SC with 0% but an 06 is just fine.

Just thought I would rub in the fact that the list price for the Cobalt SS/SC I'm about to get is for $19,100 --> and that's with every single option available. Actually, I'm about to have that same car with a stage 2 installed from the dealer tax and all under $19,000. Sometimes I love Tennessee.

The one that I was looking at last time I was at the dealer was 22,222(don't know if that is a sign). That is with every thing but onstar. I just hope I can get my payments $350 or under with 0 down.

Congrats man, How many miles were on it when you rolled off the lot w/it?

If my insurance agent ever drags his ass back in the office to give me a quote I might have one soon too.
