3.1 to 2.9 on 07sc

ok i searched like a good noob but i didnt find what i was looking for and got tired of hitting the search button so please i dont want to get a bunch of posts complaining that i just need to search. just answer my question
thanks
now, im running a 3.1 on a custom tune. my mods are 42s heat exchanger, with a dual pass in the making.
what would i need (if anything) to drop pulley size?
just trying to cover all my bases before i make a decision.
also what kind of a difference should i expect from this change?

thanks in advance

well, you obviously need a tune. and it's kinda worthless to do this stuff without intake/exhaust components. if your engine can't efficiently get the extra air in or out, it kinda defeats the whole point. If you're not going to get the exhaust and intake, I wouldn't expect any kind of big results.

I agree If your gonna drop pulley sizes you should atleast have an exhaust if you dont already and if not then the power gains that you want to see isnt gonna be what you want.

The Factory intake piping isnt bad if you do the airbox mod and put a good filter on it.
