AEM Intake came in...
I wish i took pics but i forgot my camera, anyways me and my buddy tackled the job, id say it took about an hour, and it was incredibly helpful to have a second pair of hands to ease with the install - with one person i could see removal of the bumper being absolutely necessary to get the intake on.
Pretty tight squeeze to get the old air box off, break off the old clamp, put the AEM on, and wiggle and slide it back on.
So driving impressions, the butt dyno agrees, and it sounds absolutely wicked at WOT while sounding stock at any other throttle position. No CEL tonight, *knocks on wood* i didnt disconnect the battery either.
I've heard AEM doesnt get the CEL's, but we'll see, i like their new dry filter technology tho, no more spoiled MAFS from oil residue.
So now the modding bug has begun....time to mod some more.
and for the record
ebay *lightly* used aem intake
51.00usd
20.00usd ship
30.00usd brokerage to canada
so i am way under the retail 170usd price

Congrats! I just did my first mods tonight too. I put on an Injen CAI and a DC sports strut bar. Anyway, I just yanked hard and the old tube came out with the box. I didn't have to cut that STUPID clamp...lol SOUNDS GOOD DOESN'T IT!!!!

nooo, because i had a buddy to wiggle and hold the intake in place while i worked from the top
but i could imagine that a solo job would need the bumper removed in order to give enough room to do it solo
i wanted to add that i like the stock look of the engine bay which is what im going for, nobody is going to look for an aftermarket air filter behind my bumper, and the dealer wont ask any questions !!
