AEM Uego Help
I just installed my Uego and it just kinda bounces all around, i havent calibrated it yet. Can some one give me advice on how to calibrate it and how to make it read my AFR correctly?
Mine does the same thing I was told mine does that cause of the angle the 02 bung is at... I used the stock one on my vibrant header.... but I'm in to find out how to calibrate it.....
lol it's not the gauge it's the user.
you really only need to look at it during wot, on a gms2 tune it'll read high 10's low 11's depending on conditions prob. idling it should bounce to and from close to 14.7. driving it'll fluctuate.
if it's not doing what i described then you have something wrong

My uego will bounch close to stoich (Believe its 14.7) at idle and cruising. WOT would build to 11.8.
Replaced the MAF and found out my filter popped of so everything is off right now hence the would build. But thats a seperate thread.
Nothing to calibrate here buddy.

well when its idling it bounces between like 14.5 and like 15.5, during driving it kinda just goes all over the place. It just doesnt seem right cuz its never ever steady
even at WOT? it just seems useless cuz i feel like im not getting a legitimate reading cuz its all over
lol obviously im just completely missing it...

14.7:1 is the stoichiometric value for gasoline.
in order for vehicles to meet emissions they have to have a healthy balance of hydrocarbons, co2, noX.
hydrocarbons are developed when fuel conditions are richer than 14.7(i.e a value lower than 14.7)
NOx(Nitrogen oxide) is developed when fuel conditions are leaner than 14.7(i.e a value higher than 14.7)
in order to meet emissions standards the air fuel ratio must fluctuate rich-lean-rich-lean-rich-lean so on and so forth. so at idle/cruise yes it will be all over the place fluctuating. once you go WOT, the car will enter power enrichment and go richer. hope this helps
What are you peging at WOT? Dont think you told us yet?
lol he'll prob do a pull in 1st gear and be like omg idk it said 13.5 then 12.6 then 10.0 it's broke
........
...
but kidding aside you needa do like a 3rd gear pull should be pretty stable then if you're on gms2 pulley and tune you'll prob be high 10's at wot
