Air Box Mod...Cel as usual....sort of
So, I did the air box mod today. Disconnected the battery before starting. Did the whole install and started the car and instantly had CEL. Shut er down, and one of my connections was questionable so I took it apart, pushed it back together and had someone hold it while I tightened the connection. Then I disconnected the battery again for about 10 seconds, reconnected, started er up and still had CEL. I said screw it, put all the plastic back and went driving. Drives great and I love hearing the whine. After driving a while, and a couple stops, the CEL went off. I thought GREAT! Well, another couple stops and a little more driving and it had returned. I know I probably won't be able to get a whole lot of help until I get the code pulled but I was just curious if anyone else has had this happen? Also, does anyone have a piece of hardware they recommend purchasing to pull your own codes? I know places do it for free, but it would be nice to be able to do right in my driveway! Any help is appreciated!!!! Thanks
Candian Tire will be able to help you with an obd reader, but it is going to cost yeh. I'm not sure with ur air box mods, I would just say buy an Injen CAI that what i have and put it in 6 months ago no CEL and i love the whine
