Damn that's cheap! Looks good to me. The only thing that may not be too good could be the filter. If that's the case you can just buy the Injen filter or something and stick it on and you will have the exact same thing as a $200 intake

Bought it!

I'll let you guys know how it fits and such when I get it installed

i agree. The piping is pretty much just piping as long as the rubber parts are good quality and the air filter can be replaced with a better one. It should work fine

Already have an extra K&N, so i'll have to let you know how it performs with that first. But shouldn't be much different than the AEM. Both are good quality.

That's about what I'm thinking. But you never know till you try.

Early in the tuner revolution I had an eclipse we made a CAI for out of PVC and it worked like a charm. No CELs ever. It sounds like the MAS on the Balt might be more sensitive though.

well I'll keep you all posted.

by the way you think I used enough Acronyms to lose anyone

CEL from intakes on the cobalts are strickly from the oiled filters. I have an Injen and I have never had a CEL in almost a year since putting it on. Avoid the K&N filter and you shouldn't have a problem.

Install not likely

Well fellas,

I know some of you have expressed an interest in how this E-bay intake will perform on my balt. But it is probably not going to happen for a few months. I have not received the intake yet and I will be out of the country starting next week for 4 months. If anyone else is feeling adventurous I hope you will post your results for the rest of us. When I get back I'll certainly let everyone know how mine is performing.

Take car all
See you in four months

try it and let us know.

until you do, the numbers dont lie.
people with intakes or dropins with oiled filters get cels. probably about 50% of the time. sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the filter/howmuch oil/intake brand.

people with non oiled filters dont.

They say it's modeled after the AEM Brute Force (which is the truck intake line by AEM) but it looks identical to the Injen.
