Already having a prob with the Lsj

Hey guys, as you know i just bought this car. Its got 36k on it, and as i know it has the Gm Stage 2 pulley and belt. Im not 100% sure the injector size, or whether or not it has a gm tune or an aftermarket tune. I know it had a catback at one time, because the stock exhaust has a weld in it, right before the rear axle.

OK now for the problem im experiencing. 50% of the time when i go WOT i get this jumpy, jerky, pulling. Its hard to describe in words, but it not a smooth acceleration. If anybody has and/or has had as problem like this please let me know whats going on. I really hate to go back to my Noob days, but its a new car/engine for me and im still learning about it.

try cleaning out the throttle body. i had this and it was kind of skippy then i got throttle body cleaner and it went away. also regarding your injectors, see what color they are. if you can find someone with hp tuners near you youll be able to find out if you have a custom tune or the gm stage 2 one.

They are NGK BKR7Es. The part number has changed to 4644 I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

+1 on using ngk bkr7e plugs, they will probably solve your problem. If not another thing to look at and or change as general maintenance is your fuel filter.

I would recommend these actually.

http://www.ottperformance.com/Cobalt...duct_info.html

I hate zzp and I don't really care for iridium plugs, especially when I change mine every 3k miles when I change the oil. It's much more reasonable to swap out 10 dollar plugs every 3k miles then it is to swap out 35 dollar plugs every 3-5k miles.

Ha. You think you're having a problem with the LSJ, wait until you meet the F35.

Check your air filter for water, clean MAF, check intake tube for signs of water, get new plugs (NGK BKR6E/6962 @ .035-.040 I believe)

ngk bkr7e's and he already ordered them from ottp. I will check out your car at the meet when I tune it if the plugs don't solve the issue. I'm sure I will be able to fix it for ya =D.

Plugs did it, lol. Car runs awesome, bolted my header back on. ZZP header/dp combo and corsa touring catback. Small leak, will fix it soon.
