Another header thread

I really cant decide what header i like, so i decided that slp should make a long tube header. Has anyone heard anything on slp going beyond just catback. I looked for a way to email them but they apparently do not have an email address.

The headers they make for the 98-02 trans ams claim 42whp...

IMO the Vibrant header kit. You get a header, downpipe, and high flow cat all in one. It may seem high, but for everything you get it is worth it. Very high quality product.

SLP makes a shorty header that will be in production shortly. One car has it currently.

+1 I love mine, and the price has come down quite a bit from when I bought it a few months ago.

He said he felt a noticeable difference. I heard it, got a little deeper in tone.

Shouldn't even compare the numbers from a V8 to a 4cyl.

The best bang for the buck header is the ZZP 1 3/4th Mid length

You misread my post, i was just saying that slp does some amazing things with their long tube tuned lengh header.

As far as zzperformance, i love what they do, but i want a long tube header. I emailed zoomer yesterday and he said that they will not be making a long tube so i guess vibrant is what i will have to get...

Check out the weapon R race long tube header if you're dead set on a LT.

I made my weapon-r legal with 3 inch piping around the stock cat. It puts it kind of far back, but i think i believe it still works. I'm currently testing my post-cat o2 sensor on it, but it still seems to send a p0140 code, I think it may be the shitty bung i made though.

oh yeah, i think the primaries are 1 3/4" for both, but i'm not sure. The primaries seemed huge on the weapon-r compared to my CA header.

your new to the LSX world you shall learn that SLP does not make quality products They make over priced products, their Exhaust system is pretty nice but thats about it, headers are garbage, pullies are someone elses just renamed, their "power packages" are always over exaggerated in hp estimations. you'll learn.

I didn't want to mention that to him

SLP headers are notorious for leaking at the collector.

Anyone heard anything about the CTI header and catless downpipe? I was thinking about getting the vibrant header and cat back myself also. Just wanted to research a little bit more before I go and drop a grand and a half on stuff.

CTI makes a good one too, alot of people really like it, I believe its not a long tube header though.

The two cars i have seen them on was a 2001 firehawk and a 99 ws6. The firehawk ran the headers for 4 years with no trouble, the ws6 ran with them for 3 before he totaled the car, and i think he actually put them on the camaro he swapt the motor to.

Not disagreeing with you, just speaking from personal experience.

not saying the wont last long, but fitment sux ass in the install, and they are verry low to the ground leaving almost no ground clearance. and gains are minimal, for 700 bucks i'd get QTP's, AR, Kooks. one of them 3, all stainless and proven gains all w/in same price range. better fitment and quality, n e ways back to the subject at hand. I'd go w/ vibrant as it provides everything u need and its all stainless.

GMPP honed manifold is for guys who don't know anything about performance. Biggest waste of money
