Another intake question!!!!!!!!!
just be careful with the maf and take your time on the install! when you unplug it, wrap it in something clean and set it aside until you need to put it back in! don't just do the normal late night driveway flashlight install with a few friends and tools and parts all over the ground getting kicked around or stepped on and you should be fine! lol, seriously though, most of the CELs are due to dirt, grease, water, or whatever your maf picks up while on the ground etc. You will find there are just as many if not more posts about NOT getting a CEL as there are for getting a CEL and there is no particular pattern(s) of the brand either!
I've never gotten the CEL from my K&N system. Just be sure that the MAF sensor sits and seals properly. When I installed mine, I unplugged the battery, then worked on it. After the install, I let the engine idle for about 10 min, then drove it the next day, but didn't floor till about 30mins of driving. This all may sound weird, but it worked for me.
Well i dont know about every1 else,, But i put on the Injen intake took my time. Never Disconnected the Battery & Made sure that MAF was ok & Installed the Injen. For 1500 Miles so far No Cel.
But my car is not an every day driver & has never been in the rain,, just sprinklers. I think it has alot with humidty & temp out side, Plus the condition Dusty, Rainy, Humid, Ect.... Just buy a Scanner & remove it, Good Luck
