Any Ideas on the Gm air intake mod?

Any Ideas on the Gm air intake mod?

On the gmtunersource website they have the air intake box mod does any one know if it is going to be cold air or have any idea if it is going to be worth it?

its probly just a moded air box that is open and has a different filter.

Yep, I would guess it'd be similar to the John Cooper Works airbox for the Mini Cooper S

The only problem is that the "Accessories" and "Tuner garage" part of the site are Under Construction. Its been Under Construction for about i don't know...EVER!

Yea i wish they would update, well i guess they will when the parts come out, can't wait to see if some of this stuff makes a differance in performance.

I wouldn't count on it, only if it comes with a different filter.
The GM Performance Parts intake is going to be mostly for looks.

I'm planning on buying an aftermarket intake or making my own if they are too pricy.

I'd like to find out which absorbs less and dissipates heat faster, stock tube or aluminum tube. I could always insulate/sheild my stock tube.

Plastic is better than metal. insultating it is a great Idea. I may do it. and the after market CAI's are a waste of valuable money.

Are you for real!? GM Performance put a cone filter from K&N on there stock tube and they were done. air tube and filter is not rocket science here. Big filter service, hollow tube that incorporates the MAF, done.
