no, but its apparently a pretty common mod for srt-4s something with their wiring is wierd and the pump works more effectively afterwords or something.

Fuel pump rewire is a good idea. The factory wiring is pretty small. I high amperage draw to maintain the 60 psi in the rail will create heat in the wires. This makes the pump less effective and could cause fuel pressure to drop is the pump were to be starved for enough power.

Rewire kit provides a larger wire that draws straight from the battery.

Simple mod and is a must do IMO.

Nah. Wires are under the back seat I believe. No need to replace wires in the tank since it's such a small distance.

This might help with your set up. For 35 dollars it would be the cheapest fix to your fueling. It will help if anything. I need to do this. I feel bad for my fuel pump.

I dont think it would be a huge gain on a cobalt, seeing as the battery is in the trunk, less wire length, less resistance.

Batteries in the trunk, but factory wires go from battery to engine compartment and back to the pump. It's actually a longer wire run for the Cobalt then other cars.

but the main thing that changed from this re wiring was the volts from fuel pump. i think he said it was 8 and went to 13.
