Hey, advantage being, at that boost you'd only need it to run 10 secs to get down the track lol what kind of horsepower would 160 psi even make? that's rediculous...just rediculous. that'd be like stage lol

Can you imagine the SCREAM the s/c would be making?? You'd have to wear ear protection anywhere near this car. Dogs for 50 mi would be howling lol

remember boost doesnt equal hp. so even with 163psi it wouldnt be adding anything except a strain on number 4,3,2, and 1.

you would be lucky to even be able to start the car, let alone have it actually run...

a well cooled 2.6 shuld be faster than a 2.8 right?

im asking this because it was mentioned that the fastest m62 setup for the ss/sc was a 2.8

^in theory it would make more power, just nobody can drive quite like stu, or just simply hasn't tried.

Too much heat. Above a certain RPM (read: below a certain pulley size) the HP fairy falls flat on his damn face. Damn that stoichiometry bullshit.

But the torque from the 2.6 would be much higher then a 2.8 with meth

It sure would...

think of it like this..

2 cars.. trap at the same exact speed (for comparison purposes)... one witha 2.6 and other with a 2.8.

The 2.6 will get going to its top speed quicker than the 2.8 (thanks to more torque).

the 2.6 will win the race.

yeah, i'd forget about how much the blower can take too. If I were you I'd focus solely on how much heat it will produce. Just figure out how you can combat that and **** the fact that the blower may not stay in less than 1000 pieces.

If it was that easy we'd all be running every cooling mod available and a 1 inch pulley.

back in the day when these cars first came out, some people were running 2.3 inch pulleys. i think pulley boys sold them but i guess you might understand why they dont sell them anymore. lol

2.35" and yes you can still get them. However 2.5 is the lowest i would go on the car but at that point you have to have a well setup car to run it efficently.
