We have the B&M in stock, and from what we hear you can put the OEM knob on, we have not tested our selfs but a few have stated they have done this.

Yea it might thread on, but it WILL fall off eventually. The inside of the stock knob is not threaded, you just made some of your own. If you shift hard it will come off.

Alright I just finished installing the stock knob on the B&M STS. We have 3 choices:

1. Pound the Stock Knob onto the shifter (not smart)

2. Try anad tap the Knob (You need a BIG tap)

3. Drill and tap the shifter. Wrap the shifter in teflon tape (for tighter fit). push the knob on the STS and insert screw. There she is.....B&M STS w/ stock Knob

Please excuse the mess......I'm still building the balt....not much time for cleaning

hey, i saw some knobs you can put on the B&M short throw, but i heard that you have to do something to the reverse lock out to make those knobs work. is that true?

If the knob has a gap under it for the reverse lockout, you can use it. Otherwise, you have to do something creative - probably involves cutting aluminum.

hmmm, my stock knob threads onto my B&M just fine, been on there a couple of months now, locks in place even. I just tried to go out there and yank on it a few times, it wont move. Guess I got lucky, or the redlines are a bit diferent...?
