Theres a switch in the reverse system. Mine went bad. The dealership replaced it under warrenty. So thats all I really know. Maybe someone else can help describe where it is, or howo to fix it. Or just take it in to the dealership

Its on the transmition somewhere,
Mine was on the top, I have the 06, with the MU3 Tranny.
So depends on what tranny you have, might be above the
driveshaft on the left side.
Mine also wore out and needed replacement.

My reverse switch has gone out twice since i bought mine in march 07.

Swing by the dealer, they can fix it pretty quick.

just make sure you get them checked out by the dealership. You could be trying to reverse, not knowing the lights dont work and start to back up...someone doesnt see the lights and you hit them.

I just replaced mine. pretty simple to do... the switch is about 35 bucks or so any way you have to move your fuse box in the engine bay and its straight down you will have to squeeze your hand in there and have to move a hose a little outta the way and there will be a plug. undo the plug and you will see a black oval shaped female connector... you will need a 7/8 deep socket so it can slide over the plastic connector part and reach the metal nut... it took me about 20 min or so..
Hope this helps

It is really easy to replace the switch. U will need a long extension, and a 22mm deep socket. I never moved the fuse box out of the way. I just wiggled my hand down in there to pull the plug on and off the switch.

my rear turn signals stopped working 2 days apart. the running lights still work. I havent checked it out yet and I get nervous everytime a cop is behind me. I believe the third brake light still works

Could someone take a quick picture of where this switch is? I'm sure it is right in front of me but I can't find it.
