Badmab header, quality or not?

I was originally planning on getting a GMPP exhaust manifold for a little bit of gain in power, but for the price vs the gain it doesn't seem worth it at all. Still on the stock exhuast, and no option to disable the 02 codes so I need to stick with a shorty style header. So I came across the Badmab headers, and I have seen some older threads on here about them and people mentioning tat the studs did not work and some having exhuast leaks. The price almost seems too cheap to be of any quality, but it seems there are many that are using them. I don't want to buy something cheap, only for it to fall apart a year later.

For those of you all that have this header, how has it been holding up for you? Any problems with it at all, flange warpage, etc? Also, will this header bolt to the stock downpipe using the OE style gaskets?

11 whp and tq? Is that without any additional tuning after installing? If so, very impressive

That was with a quick 5 minute dynotune. No. Added Meth or extensive tuning time
this was coming from the gmpp manifold

Thanks for consider us!

We had some problems with our hardware supplier so we switched and haven't had any problems since. And if you every have any trouble we'll be there to take care of you. It's really the best bang for your buck as far as performance bolt-ons go.

Beast if a header. I work at a machine shop and our welder said the welds were top notch and its good material. Bolt up was fun. We used a short 1/4 drive for most bolts

Recommended. I'm very pleased with it.

I've had one for about 6 months and the header itself is Nice however I have had Exhaust Leak after Exhaust Leak where the downpipe meets with the header, The Gaskets that they give you just plain suck, but they do indeed stand behind their product. It is Best Bang for your Buck.

Others have said this too, but has anyone actually tried the OEM GM style gaskets instead of the ones supplied?

So who makes a good shorty header compatible with the stock exhaust then? Price doesn't really make a difference as long as it's quality, I don't feel like dealing with exhaust leaks due to crap flanges

Ran BadMab on my car when it was a supercharged setup.

Why are all these idiots complaining about a bent flange, did you contact Brad he would have sent you another one. He will fix and repair any issue with this header for life. Cant beat that warranty or the gains.

Brad will always have my vote on so will this header.

Yeah, I did see that. Since when does flanges qualify as hardware? He was refering to the mounting hardware, not the header itself

While the header is warrantied for life, which is nice. Not everyone wants to buy a new header, install it only to find out it has an exhaust leak, then pay to have it shipped back to the manufacturer for the repairs, wait who knows how long for the repair and to get it back, then to reinstall it and not be sure that it has been 100% corrected.

What ever happened to the Clear Image Automotive headers? Their site ins't showing anything uner the supercharged SS section. Do they even manufacture them anymore?

I know for a fact brad would just ship you another one so you can swap it same day with no downtime at all.

Brad is amazing and so is his product.

Well if that's the case, I'd be fine with that. I'll contact him and get the info on it

Brad is all about customer service. I have only seen a few threads on badmab issues and all of them are corrected instantly by brad to the point where it benefits the customer and not him. To me thats a big risk he takes by sending out other parts to satisfy you.

I am a huge ZZP fan but just could not justify their package over Bad-Mab costs and proven gains.

Again End Thread.

or in my case, wait a month for a new batch to be made and then finally install it only to find out it hits the thermostat housing...then throw it back in the box and wait 3+ months on a resolution
