was thinkin bout stage 2 but went to dealer to get it and they refused to do because they said it voids my warrenty, i dont care though. Also i heard that you could swap the 3'' pulley out of the stage kit with a 2.9'' and be better off..Is that true?..Will it work good with the retune?

Anytime you're changing the amount of air that is being compressed (air pressure) then you should tune.

They wouldn't install the stage 2??? Then what the hell do they make it for? The GM kit is junk anyway. You're better off putting your own kit together. Smaller pulleys=more hp. Their pulley is too big

2.9 will work with the stage 2 tune, but it would be better to get it retuned.

NOPE, and i called them like 2 months ago and they said they would install it for $250..and now they wont!.. i dont know of anyone that can install and tune though, and im sure that just install will cost and arm and a leg. Cause i did find a dealership that would do it but wants $1400 total

Wouldn't that also include interest?

I'd just save up your money and like I said before...figure out what you want out of the car before you start buying anything for your car.

They're lying. It is a GM part, and GM warranties the kit and honors the rest of your warranty as well.

Edit: Maybe they aren't lying; they're probably just ignorant.

yeah, i know gm warranties the kit but you cant tell that to a dealer. i try to tell them that chevy makes that parts and they think im lying to them, they have to look it up and make phone calls to see what im talking about. ive gone to about 10 dealerships and they wont put it on because they claim it voids warranty. i was just goin to put it on my self then take it somewere to have it dynotuned, but i want the warranty.

thats the most expensive intake and exhuast ive ever bought , if you have 1000 i would go with header downpipe and exhaust , or a stage 2 kit for 550 200 install and a catless downpipe

Unless you are financed at 0% this is not a good idea. You are now paying interest on that $700 (installed, low estimate). I'd rather save for a few months and be done with it.

i wouldnt run a 2.6 unless you have a cobra heat exchanger, wideband - your looking at 350 right there , then you will also need a stage 2 belt 40 so that right there is 400 , 2.6 MPS -100
Intense - idler 32 including shipping , 60lbers w harness flolwmatched your lookin AT LEAST 250, Downpipe-200, plus a tune 100-200. so with all that being said you cant run a 2.6 for less than 1000 dollars with those parts , now if you get stuff used then you can , but i wouldnt buy used belt , used injectors , used plugs (etc etc)
