Best Fitting Intake

Alright, so theres a load of info on intakes on this site, but so much I cant find what I need. I have an Injen CAI right now, that is in serious need of replacement because of gouges in the aluminum from rubbing. From day one Ive had fitment issues with it either rubbing the hole the intake goes down into or rubbing on the hood brace. So needless to say Im looking for a new intake. Preferably CAI but I want one thats going to fit. I really dont care how much I have to spend, or if its not the most Power Productive thing out there, I just need it to fit right. Anyone with any suggestions?

Thanks, and I apologize in advance for beating a dead horse with all the intake banter.

i say do an airbox mod or get a 3" intake like Rebel's, they claim it fits and its true, its just one tight ass fit once you adjust it right, but you don't have to worry about any wearing through due to it being stainless steel and all.

Yeah i read about that one. does anyone have any experience with that intake? How about the AEM cai's? I havent heard a lot about those, but had an aem on my last car that worked well.

i have a Rebel CAI and it works great, i dunno about extra power over any other intake or anything, its hard to compare since i stored my car and almost instantly installed the new intake when i brough it out, but i got it to fit without really rubbing, it looks awesome, it screams like hell, and i think it might have even leaned out my stage 2 teeny bit.

Well I was told they made a new design, and when I was buying it I was told it was there newest design. Also, mine went it with no problems or scraping/scratching.

My K&N was a bitch to install but it fit great once you wedged it in there, it also came with a cushion tape to stop the metal to metal contact. Of course it gave me a CEL. I utilimately replaced it with a AEM, which is working great.

I think Im going to sign up for the group buy on the rebels. They look pretty top notch and wont rub through like aluminum. Anyone else have a rebel and like to share their input?

my K&n was easy to install and i got no cel lights but now that it is in i realized its rubbing against my break lines so i have to take it abart and redo it but i still think its a good intake
