Why would you want to go from a LSJ to a 2.2????

your options are:

2.0 lsj.

Why bother? Buy the GM mauals and do the re & re yourself. I have done this several times with the help of a friend and as long as you can follow instructions, these things are not hard to re & re.

The wierd thing is the only part i saw where it happened was a plastic piece with oil all over it and it sais saab. I didnt think it was mine but when the do driver was taking it off the flat bed there was another plastic piece that looked like it came from the same thing that broke.

ok thanks. I was thinking about finding an ss that was totaled and using the front of that as long as the damage was to the rear.

if you need a motor i can find you one, once i get home i'll pm you the link to where i bought all of my blocks. there was about a dozen or so listed there last month when i was looking for a g85 trans.

why would you bounce something off the limiter? even hitting the fuel cutoff once on the dyno worries me

it's surprising how easy these engines are to change, if people would just get the understanding that it comes out the bottom, not the top

The LNF and LSJ are not interchangeable. It would take longer to wire it up than it would to do the motor swap. The PCM is different, method of fuel supply... It's not as easy as dropping it in and tuning.

If your not joking then you do not deserve another lsj, sell the car to somone that can salvage it. ,if its stuck in gear it could be the tranny that broke not the engine, the oil you see could be tranny oil.

That piece is from the tranny.
