Blow off valve
oh good grief...
you can't have a blow off valve on the SS/SC... it's impossible... it will not mount up in any way, shape, or form.
the eaton has a built in bypass valve that handles the boost.
if you want the "psssh" sound... go get a turbo car.

Because most people new to the car hobbie think they can be used in both turbo and supercharger applications. This is partially true, but not with a roots style supercharger like the SS/SC has. Now if the SS/SC came with a centrifgul blower that would be another story. I hope this helped you out.
Its not impossible but it is worthless in doing on a stock s/c
actualy a bov wouldnt do anything. what its designed to do is when the throttle slams shut it will open releaving pressure in the charge pipes. now this is true when the throttle body is after the supercharger/turbo. when the throttle body is placed before the supercharger/turbo you dont have a pressure built up when you let off the throttle, the engine simply used the boost very rapidly and it goes back into vacume. this is also how a diesel works, as they have no throttle body (the throttle on a diesel is by controlling how much fuel is being injected)
dont listen to these guys. you can put a blow off valve on a supercharger. But before you put the blow off valve on you better check your blinker fluid, otherwise the blow off valve won't get proper lubrication.
No it is NOT worth it.
and it is possible but so very pointless, our car at stock bumps boost at whatever it is 12psi or something?!?! anyways, that stupid blow off would continue to go off until u shifted out of boost, in a long gear that could be like 3 seconds...
How is it even possible? You need a manifold source and the area in which to evacuate air from. In this instance its the same to sources? Fact of the matter is, you can't use a BOV if boost is built past the throttle body. Omni GLH's are a great example. They were turbo from factory and the throttle body was positioned before the turbo making a BOV pointless. You couldn't even hook one up and get it to function properly.......
its very possible to put a bov on our cobalt sc. i thought deeply about it and its possible with certain customization. only thing is you'll loose boost because it will have to connect to the same wastegate as the bpv in the sc so the bov will be stealing air fromt he wastegate. just like if you put a bigger intercooler on a turbo'd car with a stock wastegate. the intercooler will draw the air from the wastegate making the turbo lose boost. never say never. theres always a way to make something work. if you would like to know how customize it just let me kno.
Need a T fitting, check valve, pretty good size reservior to build pressure and a cheap, loud blow-off that will work well with only a little puff of air. Like said above, pointless, but possible.

If you want to waste money doing this please just paypal me the money instead. At least then the money will be spent on a LSJ to make it go faster.

(next time you should consider using the search button and doing some research my friend) =)
Going for a better sound? Get exhaust, a manifold, and smaller pulley/tune.
