Boost Problem!
Ok guys well I have a question.(I asked in a different thread but figured I'd get better answers if I posted myself) I run the boost bypass mod ALL THE TIME!! Because if I don't I will only build about 16lbs then by 7K be at about 13lbs. It bleeds off horrbily! With the mod I see 17+ all through the rpms at WOT. At the top of 4th I've seen as much as 21lbs on COLD nights. Why do I lose soo much boost? If someone can tell me why I lose boost and how to fix it, I will stop running the mod. I've read it's not the safest thing. And I'd probably get better gas mileage if I didn't run it. Thanks

find some1 with hptuner round u an get your temps check out mayb the tune is set at a safe 2 so when ur over heating it draws boost like how i was set up

i had that same issue an i had blackg85ss check out my car with hptuner an found out my innercooler pump was shoot check that out an see if thats also your prob couse in order for me 2 hit full boost i also had 2 do that same mod n since i leave 4 work round 4am its nice an cold out an i will see my boost go for 16lbs then at wot go 2 atless 22 mayb 23 didnt have my aeroforce gagues at the time so i dnt know the real number

Holy **** man, my intercooler pump was out during the problem. So I jus did the boost bypass mod and haven't checked it since. I'm going to undo the mod since I replaced the pump and I'm about to get it retuned. I'll post tomorrow and let you know if it still does the boost leak down! Thanks!

Your IAT's get high, you most likely start knocking and it tries to save the motor by bleeding boost and a by-product of this is killing power.
I'm actually surprised by running the mod you haven't hit limp mode since the PCM can't kill the power.

Didn't get a chance to work on her today. I had a horrible day (Was late for my job, then I got laid off from my job, it's been raining all day) so I'll fix it tomorrow morning and then, see how she does. I mean I have ALL DAY to do it. I got nothing else to do!

OK guys, so I hooked it up the right way, with the coolant pump working and I'm still losing boost. I did a few runs and it looks like anything over about 130 IAT2 it starts bleeding boost. So I guess I need to get the IAT Safe turned off. I plan on getting her tuned pretty soon, I'll be sure to make sure they look into this. Thanks for the info guys.

boost loss
I upgraded to a cobalt addiction stage 5 and now that I reflashed my ECU it seems that i am loosing boost. when I boost up I dont let down on the gas and I watch the boost gauge drop below the 0 mark. I had to pull the S/C to change pulleys but didnt replace seal cuz it still looked good could that be the problem. Do I have a leak somehwere?

hey how did you guys know your intercooler pump took a **** didn't you notice it immediatly..i just put my h/e and i'm just hopping my pump won't go and how would i know with out hptuners

i think i might be having the same problem.....for instance there should be some kind of boost at 2-3000 rpm's right or only when u are mashing the gas. i see my boost go to zero or below
