Question Break In time??

I was just curious to see how many miles most people do for a break in period... I just put new rod bearings, forged diamonds, total seal rings and I was just curious

heat and positive pressure is what causes rings to seat

Ive been told the break in period stuff was all BS. You want to boost it to seat the rings to handle the boost. Id think only a couple hundred miles with the usual oil change process

yes and no we ran a fresh engine at 3000 rpm to set the patteren on the cam then loaded it up and went and made a few light passes in the 12 sec range the opened it up and started making low 10 to high 9 sec passes

once the oil gets to temp it seats the bearings as long as the clearances are correct
