so i was in a pretty bad pile-up 6 weeks ago and my Coby was in bad shape. the front end and back end of the car was smashed in .. but no frame damage.
so anyway i pick up coby from the body shop yesterday right?
and then my ABS light flickers on and then off so i have like a Wtf face on but i keep driving...
then it says my parking brake is on so i look at the parking brake but its not on so i keep driving...
then it says low coolant but that wasnt true so i keep driving...
Then it says reducing engine power so im looking down at it going hmm WtF and then VRRRRRRRRRRM ...
car just shuts off w/ me going like 45mph, the front tires locked up, i almost swerve on to on comming traffic, i managed to save it and then coast it to the side of the road ...
then i called the autobody dude am im like yah i just broke down but of course when he showed up, the car turned on again no problem .. but my tranny light was on so now the car is back at the body shop.
i have no idea what the problem could be and neither does the autobody dudes bc they told me they ran the car computer and it said everything was fine .. i guess not
so now i gotta give them a call monday and see if they know whats up .. then i guess it'll just be safe if i sell my Coby
p.s the radiator support was pushed all the way back onto the supercharger in the accident..would that have anything to do with it?

I manage a paint and body shop in Texas. I would have to see pictures of your car to really give you any concrete answers, but I would be willing to bet that the engine wiring harness or the ECU may have been damaged. I know the wiring harness runs through the front of the vehicle for a fact, but I am unsure where the main ECU is. That is probalby the root of the problem.
Don't call them on Monday. Be a little patient. Do not make them rush the job. I would give them until Tuesday afternoon. If you don't hear from them by then, then give them a jingle.

Wow that sucks. If I ever get in another wreck, I'd want my car totaled out. My first car was hit three times, and that was it. I got rid of it. It's too bad they just didn't total out the car for you man, so you wouldn't have to worry about **** like that. Good luck with whatever happens though.
I had the dying problem with mine when i bought it (wrecked), it was because the alternator was damaged and was not hooked up all the way so it was not charging It would die and sputter then 30 minutes later i could start the car back up but it would do the same thing.
It could also be something with a ground to the body of the car that may have gotten jarred loose in the accident.
So have your electrical system checked out,
