CAI question

Ok so everyone is now getting there cai's put in . From the pics they look nice. Quick question. I have cut off my stock filter box and popped on the k&n filter and basically have had it like that since AUG. By the way, My CEL light came on too but then goes off. I thought it had to do with my oil change but they hooked it up to the computer and it was nothing. Anyway I havehad this "cai" for over 5000 miles with no problems and I did feel some more pep after I did this mod. I will probably end up getting a real cai later on for the look. Can anyone tell me if I will notice a significant power gain by getting rid of my "cai" and buying a real K&N cai ? Also will they be available in red?

Also, is there any word on if they are going to attempt, or if can even be done, a short ram air intake? I would be interested way less restriction.

You may or may not notice the difference as far as driving goes, but there will definitely be a couple hp added due to these aftermarket manufacters making them as unrestrictive and loud as possible.
