Custom Tubes Inc. Header
Custom Tubes Inc. Header
As you may know Custom Tubes Inc. has made one hell of a nice header for the ion redline!
I ordered one of these headers, but have now heard that the downpipes may differ between Redline/SS.
***** made the primaries as long as he could, this put the flexpipe and flange after the torsion bar, so this downpipe may work on both applications. Or the header/downpipe may need a slight change for the SS.
Is there anyone in or near,
4 Owens Court #4
Hampstead, NH 03841

Can you please give ***** the chance to look at your car!?!
This will help everyone in the SS community looking for another nice header.

If we can't find anyone to drop bye I'm gonna install one, and see how fitment is. Hopefully it'll work for both. Can anyone shed some light on the header/downpipe positioning?
Thanks!
Thanks!
i sent someone an email about it on the redline forums. the downpipes need to be bent differently, our cats are in different places and the rear o2 sensor needs to have an extension of about 12-18" to work with the tog downpipe that was made for the redline. we all thought the redlines/cobalts were the same until i tried to install the redline downpipe lol. i got some pictures of the attempted install but i don't want to post them just to hear the b.s that will come afterwards.
tog is working to get one fitted specifically to the cobalts though.
i believe our engines sit a few inches lower than the redlines which causes the fitment issues
