CAI questions
Hey guys, I'm kinda new at this CAI thing, since my last vehicle was a truck, but how exactly is a CAI better than the stock intake? Isn't there a concern of sucking up water into the engine if you remove the filter box and have the filter exposed?
In most cases a cold air intake takes the stock intake tube and makes it with less bends and curves which allows air to flow more freely. also with the filter being exposed it allows air to get into the throttle body quicker. and no the only way it can suck up water is if you are in a puddle that is about 2-3 feet deep and stepping on the throttle.
im not trying to knock on frank cuz i do buy stuff from him but i went with the K&N because of the warranty that they will offer to you where as frank is a smaller distributer. But frank is a good guy and if you wanna save some money i would go through him cause i spent 225 w/ shipping. Thanx modern performance
