I'm looking to get a cold air intake or a short ram intake for my 2006 SS/SC and I'm just wondering which would be better. I'm really just looking to increase the whine of the supercharger so I'm not too performance-focused at the moment. I've read that since the CAIs go lower you're more likely to get water in the engine. I live in WI and my Balt is winter-driven, even on days like this year where I drove it through 11 inches of snow. Any information is helpful in my decision! Thanks!!

Just do airbox mod if you want it to be a little louder . There is a how-to on it .

All I did was buy the KN drop in and left the bottom cover off. Used a 2 dollar spool of muffler hanger metal to strap in the filter using the original bolts for the cover. One cross strap will do it.

 

I have a SRI from K&N. Neither add much power and it makes a slight difference in sound.

If you want supercharger whine then just floor it.
