can it be done?

ok i know based on my name...what the hell is a saturn kid doing on a cobalt ss panel. well my car has a ecotec 2.2 i was wondering if i can take a supercharger assembly and mount it on my ecotec 2.2 and if you guys can point me in the right direction as far as mods and such. id like good smart mods that dont sacrafice daily drivability but also be fun to drive. the car has a custom CAI and thats it. its a total dog. i also got a 1998 camaro im shoving a L67 top end on(trust me...it fits) but thats a discussion for another day. i more or less want to get this car to get out of its own way and it would be a awesome sleeper car too!

l61 section.... been done several times... even a sticky on it

if the l67 is the v6 m90 eaton engine you wont get it to clear the cowl.. but thats a discussion for ls1tech.com

Why not a turbo? It would probably be cheaper, if you could find a used turbo, and an easier install. And you'd end up with more power.

i like the torque of a eaton.and it would be a show stopper seing a saturn 4 door roll up and pop the hood.

That's good enough for me. I had a 95 coupe that I often wondered what some horsepower would feel like up front. A fun car even stock. Good luck with your project. I like the road less traveled myself. That's why I put a LS1 in the back of my Fiero.

can be done, just not easy... has been done

only been done once that I know if, required some heavy modding to the firewall, that is where the probem lies as the L67 is a 90 degree V6 that is mounted horizontally in the bay and not vertically and because of that gives a lot of trouble trying to get it to work in a Camaro's engine bay because of placement of some accessories, as well as fitment issues within the firewall and hood clearance.. good luck trying to put a L67 topend on a L36 found in a Camaro, it will be a hard task...

my next bit of advice, is why not get the L32 topend with the Gen V M90? its much better than the Gen III found on the L67, stock, it'll outflow a ported Gen III M90... I mean there are FAR better/cheaper methods to make power out of a 3.8L Camaro, but its your wallet... but if I were going to go through the cost associated with this job to be "different", i'd just go ahead and suck it up, drop a couple more hundred and get a better topend to start with

honestly, by the time you do the cutting, get stuff fabricated, etc. for this job, its going to be expensive... you could have a HIGH horsepower turbo 3.8L for less money

but oh wait, we're talking about the saturn, lol
