I would say your not at tdc then but could be wrong.
(My buddie had a spark plug drilled out with a shaft that slid in the hole that he used to get tdc)

Rotate the crankshaft until number 4 piston is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke.
Refer to the crankshaft damper-to-front-cover timing marks.

Install the NEW camshaft position sensor housing seal.

Align the timing mark on the housing with the timing mark on the hex shaft.

Install the camshaft position sensor housing.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the camshaft position sensor housing studs.
Tighten
Tighten the studs to 22 Nˇm (16 lb ft).

Install the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Supercharger .
Connect the negative battery cable.

I had the same problem. I put it to TDC of the fourth and I had to rotate it a little to get it in. Have not started the car yet so IDK if I am going to get a code or not.
