car jerking

ok my car is being gay again..2 weekends ago i got limp mode out of it so im baby driving it till it settles itself again..2day it started to jerk a lot and noticeable when i rev'd it to 2200 rpms in 2nd gear with a lil more push to it but nothing spectacular, it jerks like a **** and then it goes back to normal after i lift the foot off the gas and it's done that about 5 times today...but the clutch is perfectly in 2nd gear so i dont think its the clutch or is it still feeling sum side affects from limp mode?? what do you guys think?? oh and this happened 2 me before too when i did my last oil change it did that for a while and then went away and i thought it would be the oil so i did an oil change again today and its still there...

the first couple times the car jerked, stock, now aem intake, custom exhaust and that's it...last week it went into limp mode and 2 weeks later the jerk is back and i got it just as bad but worse when it was in the higher rpms before like in the 3500-4000 rpms in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear when i was stock, now its in the 2200 rpm when i have the intake and exhaust and no cel comes on... i would go to dealer but my dealer is being a bitch b/c my warranty is almost up, they made a big deal about my rotors so i know this will not be looked @ carefully or even fixed by them...

The clutch on this car is really touchy... I dunno... I know my car kinda does that if I dont take off just right... I don't really think the drivetrain in these cars is spectacular, you might as well get them to really look at it, maybe they might get you some new parts..

well if it was the clutch then why would it jerk so much when it's in 2nd gear and go fine until i give it a lil bit of gas? b4 apparently it was b/c walmart didnt do my oil change properly so they almost blew a gasket/create a leak in the engine..but everything was fine until today which i dont get why it started today again...

this might be your problem?!? You have some ***** taking your car to Wal-mart to get an oil change.

dude take it to the dealer. whether or not they want to fix it doesnt matter, its under warranty so they HAVE to. and if its almost up like you said then you shouldnt be saying i am not taking it in because they are being difficult. with it almost being up you should be jamming that car down their throat. and define custom exhaust, did you go to autozone and get a muffler and put that into the stock system? did you run a straight pipe or something harmful like that? not that its causing the problem but they might give you a hard time about it

lol no there's pills for that...limp mode from what i found out the hard way is when the car automatically dies, you put the foot on the gas and it doesnt move but the rpm's move up and all you can do is hit the brakes and thats it...you have to wait for the car to be able to turn on and run and if you turn it on right away the car won't start it putts a few times and a cel goes on..and after it sits for a while it turns on normal no cel and runs just a lil slow for a while..

OHHHHHHHHHHHH, yea i had that problem with my older integra.. check your half shaft dude, it might be shot..

your half shaft can go with spinning tires, mine went because my traction control was trying to work when i was driving on the snow, and then it broke. so it either wouldnt get any power and the engine would just rev up, or if i was lucky i was creep around if it caught a bit. just check it out man

well ive been looking into it and so far the only thing i can think of is that it's not getting enough air flowing or its too lean and hopefully warranty will cover it cuz i have no $$ to spend on that part right now...even though ive had the car for 2 years im still learning about it but i also figured out that my aem intake must be soaked as **** b/c it only happened when i went over a puddle and it seems like its not getting enough air from the filter and this happened once to me but now the car is lowered it might of got drenched since it was working fine and then boom it happened and today it happened again but in 1st gear so im thinkin its still wet since it's been raining hard and cool up here now...would that be it or nah?? the aem intake??

lol you failed to mension you drove over a puddle, sucking water up in your engine basicly means your going to have to buy a new one, depends on how bad you flooded the engine.

but i dont get it b/c if the engine was flooded it would have died right away and it wasnt even a high water it was just a lot there and the right tirer went over the water and not the left where the intake is...so i dont think its that or else my car wouldnt start normal or still be running...im thinkin its the aem intake being soaked could that be it??

maybe you should try and dry it all out, dis connect the intake. and let your car sit with the hood open for a bit. and dry out the intake. get all that water out of there, because if it is still wet it will suck some water in everytime you hit the gas, not alot but maybe enough to make it "limp"... dry her out

I would recommend actually taking 5 mins just to dry out most of the water, and granny driving is good.. the less suction you have coming out of your intake the better, if you press it to the floor the suction will pull in more water than needed, so if you HAVE to drive, i wouldnt take it over 2,500 rpms

ya i got a buddy of mine in the car and took him for a min rip and he says its like "taping the gas a lil bit and stomping the brakes @ the same time" which it is so im going to be driving it slowly for the time being nothing near 2500 rpm's...but i got a new filter to take the old 1 out to let it dry and see if its really the filter...
