so im driving home earlier tonight going about 55mph hit a hole, and then the entire car shut down completly. all the lights went too. i had to get over to the shoulder, and barely made it. then it sat a minute and it started back up. cant see anything wrong with it.
has this happened to anyone else on here?

 

ya that has happened to me alot. i just start the car and keep driving... idk what it is or was but normally the momentum makes it so i can get it going again pretty seemless

hasn't happened for maybe a year or longer thou

 

i tried to google *hit pothole car shut off* and the first link was cobalt >.<

 

not the first time I've seen this happen. Some kind of shock detector I think. Car probably thought it was in an accident so it shut itself off.

Not really, just keys. Why?

 

one kid i tuned had a bunch of crap on his keychain went wot after the tune and they would swing back and shut the car off
guess that rules that out though

 

i've had this happen in my NA. Just flick the key and she fires back up. hasnt happened ina while, but its some scary shift esp on the highway. damn New England winters
