what is it doing? is it turning over? does it sounds really smooth when you turn the key? need more details or noone is going to be able to help you. it's hard enough diagnosing a car over the internet anyway.

so when you start it, the car revs up?

I would clean the mass air flow sensor. Also, make sure all of the fuses are pushed down in the engine bay.

have you changed your oil lately?

sounds like it could be a vacum leak actually or that your cat got really clogged up.

what kind of driving were you doing yesterday or have you been working on your car at all? other than the stuff you said.

I have an ebay intake. yes i did clean the mass airflow and throttle body. i haven't changed my oil in about 2000 miles. I dont have a cat because i have a catless down pipe. My boost gauge is working so that cant be leaking any vacuum. I think that is the only vacuum line ive messed with. When the weather is really humid or it rains a lot i get the occasional misfire. But the i just clean the mass air flow and throttle body and its good for a few more storms. Its winter here so i cant really get in it at all..

Mods:

3 inch catless dp from clearimage
meth from coolingmist

check your spark plugs. if any are really wet could show a problem with flooding wich could be cause by a wire from your injectors that has a raw spot or is grounding out. other than that check all electronic connections and hoses again. by check i mean like unplug then plug them back in. then see if anythign got solved.

It's a long shot, but did you, by chance, change keys?.. If your key is not programmed the car will start and run for a second or two and then shut off.

Or it could be an oil pressure sensor, where the fuel pump cuts off when it doesn't see the oil pressure come up...

I dunno.. just a couple ideas...

sounds like the MAF is unplugged. Try scanning for any codes.

K well i took out my injectors and inspected the harness. Underneath the protective sheath that covers the wires i found two wire on two different injectors that were slightly exposed. So, i just put some electrical tape on those and proceeded to install them again. But now my battery is dead because i guess i did too much cranking on it. So i guess since i have the battery out and on the charger that will cover the un plugging the battery theory. As far as changing my key goes.... No i have never changed my key and the security light is not on. Will hooking up an OBD II reader the car tell me anything? The check engine light is not on so im not sure that will work.

well with finding those two wires I'd also check spark pulggs too and make sure they aren't too f'd up. I hope this fixes your problem but it may not don't get your hopes up too much.

plugs look fine. After doing all of these i am still having the exact same results. It will start for a few seconds run smooth and die. If i try to hit the gas when it is revving it just dies faster.

when it dies does it putter or turn of just like when you turn your car off normaly? maybe you're not getting fuel. turn the key to run and predd down on the pressure fuel pressuer release valve have a rag to catch the gas that should be shooting out. if it doesn't blast out your fuel filter could be clogged.

either way at the end of all this you'll find out if there is something wrong with your car. you already found a couple bad wires so who knows what else is next.

It just shuts off normally, as in if i was turning i off myself with the key. Yes fuel comes roaring out of that valve on the rail. Could my mass air flow sensor be bad?

it could be.... I haven't seen them for a log time either but I know on my VW you can accidently put it back in a car backwards you can look at that. honestly man, I don't know now. then only other thing I would suggest get some buddies some beers and push start that bitch a few times. maybe you'll find your answer that.

if it's a sensor it could be several so I'm not getting into that if all else fails.... pray!

it can be placed in backwards but not installed backwards. The dealer in my area has a sensor so im going to get one and see if that works. All i no is that it meets the symptoms of a bad MAF. It has been running like crap in bad weather for about a year now. Im hoping that it just finally went dead.

ok. heres my situation. when my MAF came unplugged, the car started, and a couple seconds later it started to die. i revved the engine up to about 3krpm and tried to hold it there, but it felt like the throttle was still closing. you just gotta keep revving it (try not to bounce off the limiter) and keep it from dying. when i did this for 5 seconds, the CEL came on, the T/C light came on, and the car idled just fine.

If you can keep it running for the few seconds, the PCM realizes the MAF is wrong, completely ignores the MAF signals (or lack thereof), displays a code, and fuels off of internally stored fueling maps.

When this happens, the car drives fine, AFRs always ooked good for me, but it wont like going higher than 4500RPMs
