Car wont idle till warm

Ok so I pulled my engine out the first time added some parts and what not. I installed the engine and it ran fine from the start. It would start and idle nice but now I had to pull my engine a 2nd time. It still has the same tune on it but it wont idle till its warm. If its cold it bounces from 10afr to 17 afr it wont sit and idle nice. I am just checking in to see if you guys think its the tune or a sensor that might be jacked up. When its running I have to keep the rpms up or it will die till its warm then its fine. I checked for boost leak and didnt find any. If anyone can help me out with this it would be AWESOME! Thanks

Lol before the motor finally blew up my car was doing this.. so fuking annoying.. but it did it whether it was hot, or cold. Did you try pulling the throttle body and cleaning it up, or maybe check for vacuum leaks maybe pin holes in vaccum lines? I'll think around some more see if I can think of anything else..

Sometimes cars need to relearn how to idle. Id say aslong as ur sure everythings fine, start it and let it rub for a few minutes and see if it straightens itself out. Thats my best advice.

I checked the throttle and it was cleaned before I put it back into the car. The vacuum lines I checked but I can check them again to see if I missed any leaks.

I took and ran the tank low too because I had gas that was 8 months old in it and then I filled it with new gas and added Isoprop to absorb any water in the tank. I am going to start it today and let it idle to clear up any water, I hope its something simple I am sure it is cause the car runs like a angel when its warm.

I did all the normal stuff like gaskets and thing in that nature. I also added a stage 2 clutch, 78# valve springs. Diamond pistons 10 to 1. That would be it. Could it be a sensor that was plugged into the wrong port? Bad o2 sensor maybe? Just need to be tuned? Or on redline someone said that it could be a fuel pump. This is what happens when I start it, the car a/f is 12 to 1 for about 2 seconds then it bounces to 19 a/f and the car dies. If I give it gas and feather the peddle I can maintain the rpms at 1500-2000 and a a/f of 14. If I do that it is fine till it warms up then it will idle by its self. Normally takes 10 min for it to idle by its self. The temp gauge gets to a quarter of the way up then it's fine. I can do a hpt log for you guys if you would like but the log will only be like 4 sec cause the car will die then.

not sure the grit hone I cant remember but the machinist did it all. I did a compression test and all were right around 190-200

I will try a leak-down this weekend see what it shows. But if my rings are not seated yet wouldn't the leak-down be inaccurate? my engine only has maybe 100 miles on since the rebuild

You have HPTuners? Do a log to check if the sensors/ecm show the right values for a cold engine...
No error codes? (it should run 14.7AFR in closed loop shortly after start-up)

well I fixed my idle problem but now I have another one but its a easy fix. My idle problem was due to the wrong injector data I fixed that and it idled nice and does not die but now I have to retune my car because the a/f when driving is at 12 to 1.
