cat back vs. axles and dr's

ok guys, im starting to get quite a few mods. im sure i have a ton of exhaust backpressure. i also just ordered a ported/polished blower. the next thing i need either exhaust or axles and drag radials. help me out.
my mods are in my sig. i will be installing my 2.7, stage 2 meth injection, 60 lb'ers ported blower and whatever i decide to buy next all at once.

im leaning more axles. but i dont know exactly how much an exaust would help.
one more thing, if you say exhaust, name a brand. thanks

A Corsa Touring exhaust would probably sound pretty sexy with those vibrant headers and dp.. but with all those mods, axles and dr's do sound needed

im gonna say axles. you have a header and dp, your stock muffler isnt gonna cause you as much trouble as a snapped half shaft.

there have been guys who snapped an axle off the line, without the car even moving.
no wheelhop, no nothing, on STOCK tires.

there have also been guys running slicks with no breaks yet.

Its hard to tell what will actually break an axle.

lol, thats funny. you dont need brakes! my buddy has a 400+ hp camamro that just has the drums on the front. (maybe they are disc? its a 1989. he drags it 2wice a month. passes inspection too. i dont remember why he cant put the rear drums on now?

well, if all goes good. i will have both by spring. im just trying to find out if exhaust is worth it after the header and downpipe?.... im sure there is backpressure, and i KNOW there will be after i install the 2.7. thats why im worried

exactly... some people are stupid and launch at like 5 k and wonder why they break their axles u have to ease into the clutch and not just straigh dump it

I'd go axles now and exhaust later. Your going to be getting both within a few months it seems, no point in risking a snapped axle and possibly doing other damage (which will be a costly fix) just so that you can gain more performance through an exhaust system. Like you said, both are going to be needed and both will be bought shortly. By not having an aftermarket and free"er" (haha) flowing catback your not going to break anything. Sounds like your going to have a kick ass setup, when do you plan or hope to have some numbers by? I was also looking at getting an AIS kit as well, sounds like you and RavenSS both are liking what you see, I'd love to see some installed pics and numbers. Best of luck with your build!

with the meth spray i should have no problem. no knock at all. i will start off with a 75 shot on the dyno then go to a 100 shot. see how she responds.
