basically the ONLY positive for keeping the cat is that its legal.
and since your in alberta....we can kinda get away with it really easily.

its pretty much illegal everywhere.

but some places you can just get away with it alot easier.
Some places in the states are emissions *****...and have to be checked all the time etc...

I gutted my cat....it was very easy, I just use a long bar to smash the insides out....took about 1hr altogether.... didnt cost me anything....it never made it that much louder, maybe abit....changed the tone a little bit and gained abit on the topend.... When I get a better power adder(blower swap or turbo swap) then I will replace all my exhuast with 3" but as of now, i dont really see any restrictions with my exhaust....

I know they'll drill you in CA. TX it's all good. Not sure about everywhere else

FYI: you will get a Cel if you go catless.

is it 2"?? it didnt look that small..... I would like to upgade my exhaust down the road but for now, the way i look at it, more flow, for free.......

well our downpipes are about 2.75" OD right? maybe that one spot is like 2 or 2.25 by 2.75"?? which i dont think is that restrictive..... well for someone with only a few mods atleast.....

actually i had my dp off the other day because i was board and wanted to look for restrictions. if you think the o2 section is bad you should look at where the dp bolts to the manifold. it has to be under 2 inches there.

as a side note i have been running stage 2 for about 400 miles and the inside of my cat had lots of carbon build up from running rich. I think it would have deff clogged in a few thousand miles or so................ so i gutted it till i get a real dp.

check with your DMV to see when your next emissions test is. I just found out I dont have to test until 2011 and Im in Cali. Im catless and I had been stressing about what to do for the last couple months.

Here in BC new cars are exempt from the sniffer test for 7 years. Hence why I went catless.

I dont have hp tuners, and I have only a vauge idea of what that is, But I think I want to go catless. Does it make you car smell bad if you do. I have a friend that is catless and he smells like ass and no CEL. its also a civic so we give him hell.
