Like mentioned the cheap eBay intakes get holes rubed in them after time. It would be alot better investment to keep the ABM and spend the cash on a Heat exchanger. That would benefit you more.

thx for lookin at that page i didnt notice it was only titanium coated. good catch. i dont want to spend like $250-$300 for an intake though. thats ridiculously over priced. another intake i was lookin at was the "j-spec" on cobalt-addictions website is that any good?

That's what I was trying to tell him. An intake doesn't make much power to begin with. 200+ for the tiny diff between an ABM and a intake would deff be better spent on many things. If you already have a HE on the way get mounts.

tell him to look at it like this, go get a cup of water, now this with rep a intake tube with air in it. now get a straw rep. the TB and suck the water through the straw, see you can get only so much water through the straw. if ur going to get an intake i would look into a bigger TB. IMO

You can get whatever you want. I'm just trying to give my advice/opinion. I have a K&N ABM and I know for me mounts would have more of a "performace" benefit that switching my ABM to an intake. I already got rid of the main restriction (paper filter) and it is basically already a fender mount CAI. I could think of many other things I would rather get for the price, even non-performance mods like the TC grills, but it's your money so get one if you really want it.
