Clicking Noise Anyone?

Hey guys I have a clicking noise coming from the outside of my 06 ss/sc. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it occurs in 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd gear. Usually when I accelerate and then decelerate it clicks just like a loud pen click. I was wondering if its my axles or maybe my control arm bushings and what the dealership could do about it?

No that is wrong if you have a broken axel youll deff. know.. you wouldnt move from one spot... its probably the bushings. do you have a clicking noise when you back up? it sounds like its on all the wheels?

Nah I know the exhaust ticks when its turned off this is clearly from the suspension and it does click when I reverse as well.

Check the heat sheild on the exhaust manifold.. sometimes they crack or break and thats what made noise when mine broke.

its something with the suspension the cobalts have. one more ? it doesnt click all at one right right? like in reverse on a hill it starts on the driver left side then the right side and so on.

I'm convinced it has to do with the suspension being loose and I kinda want to know what it is so I can see what the dealership might do

the dealer is not going to do anything i already tried that.. they looked it over more than 5 times and couldnt find anything wrong. they told me that is could be the washers we have on the rotors and your wheel goes against.. he said they spin so im guessing thats the clicking noise. but thats my guess

They shouldnt. Do you have any mods? How many miles? You can also tell them a member from your forum had the same problem.

I have 20k miles and nothing noticeable for mods that they can see I made sure I got around that. They never look for mods either.

You shouldnt have any problems then. I had a stage 2, vibrant header, 3" intake, torque dampener on there and whatnot. What my dealer did was take a wrench, vise grips or something of that nature and put tortion on the axle(s) and that should produce the same noise. I imagine they have to really crank on it though. Ask if you can remain with the car while they perform the test.
