Was it the clutch.......?

The other night I was out racing down at westhiemer when I came across a 350Z well, we go from a dig a few times, then from a roll a few times, then we turned around and started going the other direction, we were going to start from a 20 roll well he honks 3 times and we go, I hit 7k and slam it into 2nd and to my suprise it would not go in to 2nd the gears just grinded really hard, so we go again, same thing happens, slam into second and gears grind, I am wondering if it was the clutch messing up because I was running it hard all night, because it isn't doing it anymore. Has anyone else had this problem?

Why would they just go out like that. They weren't grinding at all before that night. It was just a split second thing and it hasn't done it again.

beating up a stock tranny is what causes that...mis-shifts, just abuse..
these are stock parts not aftermarket parts.

My 2nd gear was grinding even with the clutch disengaged......it was the syncros screwing up, which in return I sheered the pin off inside the tranny and lost ALL my gears. Had to wait 2 weeks for my car to be fixed. I hope you have more luck then me. If it starts doing it again, take it in to the dealership while you can still DRIVE it there

mine wouldn't do it all the time.....it was completely random, one day it would be fine and the next it would act up. Then one morning it caused a bigger problem
