clutch failing

So as the title states my clutch is failing, and I just wanted input on a replacement. Also I think that the slave cylinder might be going too as my pedal gets excessively stiff with little travel, especially after a hard pull. Any info or suggestions would be awesome thanks

Haha thanks bro! How about the cylinder, do you guys carry a replacement or do you think the pedal issue might be something else?

Anytime you change our a clutch you should highly consider replacing the Throw Out Bearing (TOB) and Slave.

We sell them, and ask if you want one when you purchase the KY clutch kit, optional to purchase, but recommended. Order VERY soon and it can ship yet today.

Hey,
I had similar issues with my clutch.
Bleeding the fluid and flushing and replaceing the Fluid helped with the stiffness after a hard pull, but didnt fix the engagment issue I was having. My Spec Clutch was worn all the way down, and I had a leaking Elbow fitting. I had a GMPP Clutch installed. It came with the LNF TOB wich also doubles as the slave cylinder. So Def get the TOB/Slave, as well as the clutch pipe replaced.
My Clutch is good to go now.

If you go GMPP the LNF TOB comes with it...

If you don,t Defently get the LNF TOB
I have an extra one since I didnt know my GMPP would come with one.

The pipe is cheap in price and is available from any local dealer. It is just an "OEM/Stock" replacement.

The TOB/Slave we ship witht he KY kits are the upgraded LNF TOB/Slave.

That's true, one last question. If i order a lighter flywheel I have to get something else right, idk what its called but its for keeping everything nice and balanced.

Use the stock flywheel with KY kits. If your stock flywheel is damaged, get a new one, they are inexpensive, and available from any local dealer for a little over $100.

Its not damaged I just figured since I'm going to be in there I might as well upgrade it. Can i ask why not to use a lighter flywheel with the KY clutch?

I believe you will need a tune if you get a lighter flywheel. That's the only reason why I didn't do it when I did my clutch. I'm pretty happy with the GMPP clutch and PP w/ LNF TOB/slave.

Oh, I see. Don't feel like forking out extra for a tune to be honest lol

You by all means can, but I personally like a little more "mass" on the flywheel.

You dont need a "tune" not sure why anyone would ever stated you need a "tune" if you have a light weight flywheel.

on an engine that already has a rough idle like the lsj, lightening the flywheel will only make it worse, and you might get some misfire codes. Typically the idle is raised in the tune to compensate.

Mine had a lighter flywheel on it. I didnt know it till they pulled my clutch out. Now with my LSJ flywheel the idle is alot smoother, and the engine revs alot smoother now too..

Let me know if you want my aftermarket one, I think its in good shape sitll If interested I can take pics of it.

That's the same thing I was thinking, I had never heard of tuning for a flywheel, the most I had heard of was a lighter harmonic balancer to compensate for the lower weight.
