I could possibly be the tires.... it's kinda hard to tell with these cars when the tires or spinning or the clutch is slipping. Should wait a bit longer before you really start to beat on it. One test you can do is, drive at about 25 mph and push the clutch and put it in 5th .. rev it to about 3.5-5k and dump the clutch and if the rpms stay up then it's slipping. If the engine falls back to where is should be then your ok. I hope this helps.

Its your technique. TRUST ME. The way you drive this car can make you think its a total piece or a total beast.

Have a look at these threads, try out the things mentioned in both, then hopefully come back with some positive results for us:

Take it back to the dealer and hope they cover it. If you are a young guy they will probably say you've been too hard on it and make you pay for it.

If you have to pay, get an aftermarket clutch.

these clutches do suck, you cant really give it throttle before the clutch engages when you get on it...

Seriously, shift ABOVE 3,000 RPM. Give it a week or so and it'll start grabbing better.

I can spin the **** out of 2nd.

Hey good post Pyros! I hadn't seen those vids before, I bet that they will really help.
I've never had a problem with my clutch slipping.

well see the thing is that i have never driven a stick till i bought this car and i have been shifting low when im driving normaly all the time. also ive kinda been beating the **** out of my car alot lately and i always downshift. so im going to try not downshifting anymore and shifting above 3000rpms and we will see how it goes.

I agree with the above ! Shifting at 3k or higher will help. Shifting to 2nd at WOT for me never slips. I only have 4000 miles but I have always shifted at or above 3k.

Just stop driving like a pansy and when you do downshift, rev match. You can downshift just fine if you rev match, won't hurt anything.

I was an unbeliever about driving harder to keep the clutch from slipping, but now I believe.

you just solved your problem right there! usually to learn stick its best to buy a $200 beater that runs so u can beat on that and not hurt anything on the new car

Basically if you shift at around 3 grand or around there it should firm back up. Everytime I drive I go to about 3-4 grand in each gear and go from 3rd to 5th. I dont hold it wide open to get to 3 grand, but just enough to get it going.

I have 12k miles on mine, although Ive only driven it for 400 of that and it grabs pretty dang good so far. When it gets replaced though im going a performance clutch. First to second is a tough gear, I get a little kick with it, other then that its butter.
