Cobalt sounds like machine gun

Alright guys i have a problem. The other day whenever i would get near redline (5500-7200) my car would sound like a machine gun popping. Now all my mods are in my sig and a stock ss/sc with just intake exhaust was able to keep up/ win by a fender. Im not sure what it could be so any ideas would be great.

also i pulled my spark plugs let me know what you guys think. its in order from left to right I am running 2 step colder plugs, and the plugs smelled slightly like oil

after i pulled the plugs and put them back in it seemed to be ok again, but for how long who knows

yep i do have it scanned too... NO knock... Nitrious has not been used EVER. it is in the process of being wired correctly. NO rotten egg smell or any smells. I am running rich (i have a wideband) WOT from 4 - 7200 goes from 10-11.2

Wideband is NOT hooked up to laptop

im also running a high flow cat and just got the wideband installed last week. they also replaced a gasket because of a leak. they didnt say anything about the cat

k, thats a little far of a coldness range for just stage 2, try installing the $2 coppers and see how the car acts first, then go from there

sounds like a few things definatly try the coppers...

but from what it sounds like is that your cat is fried.. maybe clogged.... how long did you break it in for when you put it on?

that's a pretty big gap. .42 is way too big. and why 2 steps colder?

2 stages is too cold for stage 2 only. 2 stages colder isn't needed until you drop quite a bit further in pulley size

On stage 2 my car loved the stock plugs,

when I dropped to the 2.8" pulley I went with BKR7E's gapped at .038 and she is very happy. Switch up to stock or 1 stage colder, your motor will thank you

i went 2 colder because i was going to shoot a dry shot. well that changed to a wet, and as for breaking it in, i cant say i really did lol. a clogged cat would make alot of sense, because i just got a gasket replaced and it sounds like its leaking again, no more then a week later..

**** it, straight pipe here i come
