So my brembo upgrade kit from ZZP arrived along with the stainless steel lines.... coilovers should be here Tuesday this week.... I'll be putting the brakes on when I do the coilovers just so I can get dirty all at once.... any suggestions or tips for either?
I went the cheap route honestly because I've had these before for a different vehicle and I couldn't even tell the difference from these and my BC ones I have on another car.... plus right now come to find out my car is on CUT SPRINGS so anything is going to be an upgrade....crazy because my car has no travel and sits very low and my friend who sold me it originally claimed it was on coilovers so I believed him.... I went to installed the strut hub when a bolt broke and found out otherwise and was so pissed I just had to get coilovers on this thing before bringing it to ANY track... no way will I try and beat on it with cut springs LOL
No you definitely want to get those off of her Louie before you start doing any type of competitive road course driving. I would also get some Moog Endlinks 9.86 length for the Cobalt SS Model. They'll be better than those Maxpeed ones I'm sure. You can get them here off of ZZP or RockAuto.
the reason why I went with these is because all 4 of my springs were cut, so anything is better than cut springs. When I get my
stimulas I'll be ordering nice coilovers probably from BC cause they are located here in my town.... also for anyone that has been thinking about the brembo upgrade and SS brake lines you should 1000000% do it these brakes are so nice in comparison to the stock LSJ ones it's not even funny. Car rides nice for cheap coilovers a little bouncy in the back but that's better than cut springs for sure hahaha
Louie she looks really clean brotha. Glad you like the break upgrade. I plan on doing a break upgrade as well once I get the suspension mods done and Supercharger put on. Were the Goodridge brake lines easy to install?
Did you lube the slide pins in the calipers? If not, I'd probably punch those out and lube them before you put too many miles/heat cycles on them. They're known for being problematic to remove. I think a large part of that is people living in the north with salty winter roads, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

yessss! Very very simple, even the ones from the axel to the hard lines were very easy. 6 in total.

Yes I did! I read every thread on any upgraded I'm doing before starting the install. Hopefully these pads last a while so I won't need to worry for a while.
