CAI is fine in winter, during the rainy and snowy months i cover the hole where the fog light is, as i dont want slush to get up in there and freeze. i have a hydroshield.

The SRI option is only available for 2.4 and 2.2 Cobalts. The SS/SC is CAI or stock/airbox mod.

But he was asking about his 2.0.

NM read what your original post was. Bad day, week, year, life today. SRI is completely fine, the only time you have to worry is with a CAI.

Back at ya. I WOULD however, check it every now and again, especially after a snow. Just make sure you're not getting road slush up in the engine bay.

Absolutely!

Put it back in, and to heck with worrying about avoiding deep looking puddles, etc. In fact, I'd advise that you permanently leave the stock air box in your car - and then go some other route (i.e., "SAFER" and "WARRANTEED") for more power.

Peace of mind man, peace of mind.

BTW ...

Hydroshields will do absolutely nothing if the filter becomes accidentally immersed. If that happens (no matter WHAT season it is) your engine will become the most expensive paperweight you have ever owned.

Think about it peeps ...
