Cooling Mod Questions

These are my mods:

Cobra H/E, Aeroforce Interceptor, Cobalt Addiction Stage 3 w/2.7" Pulley and 60# Injectors, XTC Cold Air Intake, Centerforce DFX Clutch,Centerforce Lightweight Flywheel, Ingalls Stiffy Tourque Brace, Polyurethane Transaxle mounts and Control Arm Bushings, CA SS Header, and XTC 2.5" catless Downpipe

About 2 weeks after I installed the Cobra H/E I burnt my piston rings on #3 and blew out the dipstick. Blown Motor. So now I have a new motor and I'm contemplating Meth Injection. The question is what would be the best route, meth injection and a good street tune, or dual pass and a good street tune. What do you guys think I should do to make sure this doesn't happen again. Obviously I waited too long on the H/E and it was too late. I Live in South Louisiana where the summers are blistering hot. If I do meth can I get a street tune or do I have to dyno tune. I don't n have HP Tuners, I know a guy with it willing to street tune my car. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

P.S. What is the safe maximum IAT to not have meth or dual pass?

i myself would run dual pass/cobra and meth for the ultimate in cooling. you need to keep a close eye on your meth if you have the car tuned for it, as if you run out you will have serious detonation.

To do meth injection, do you have to get a dyno tune? I know it needs to be tuned for it, but how do I go about tuning it?

It was a huge deal, it actually caught the car on fire and insurance covered everything. I paid my deductible, and insurance paid 2000 for the motor.

you dont need to tune for meth, you can just throw it on and it will give you the benifits of cooler, more dense air charge and the high ocate of methanon will make it more resistant to detonation. you will see power gains from it. however, to get the full potential of methanol you will want to tune. with the increased resistance to detonate allows you to run more timing and that will increase power further. however this is were you need to always know you have methanol in the tank before you step on it, as the increased timing with no methanol will cause severe detonation and you will burn a piston up, my guess would be #4 would be the first.

That is exactly what I needed to know. Looks like the meth and a go. Gonna get the kit sometime this week. Do you guys recommend injecting into the intake tube or into the intake manifold?

if you have the H/E already, just go with dualpass and optin "b", i run the same thing and the car runs cool as **** and never had a prob.

plus- what if you run outta boost juice??? run to the store for the mr. clean concentrated windshield fluid? i think in the end dualpass and what not is less of a pain in the ass.
