I have a stage 2 SS/SC and this thing runss HOT!! aside the cold air intake that comes with the stage kit, is there anything else that i can add for cooling? and which vendor could I buy from.

Weird. My IRL doesn't run hot at all and it's 110 degrees outside.

 

well. not that it runs ridiculously hot but it does get quite heated.. but umm i am looking for some cooling mods any suggestions?

 

if you think your stage 2 car runs hot come feel mine after a WOT run and there is no intake that comes with the stage 2 kit. also for cooling you can get the dual-pass from GM, cobra heat exchanger and meth injection.

no they do not, pretty much people are buying Ford Mustan Cobra H/E and customizing it to fit onto our car, now there is a second H/E that Cobalt-Addiction sells if you want to look into that, i think its like $360 or so plus shipping, check it out

 

cobra heat exchanger>CA heat exchanger because $80-90 is way cheaper than $380 and they do the same exact thing

 

BWoody also sells a Nice dual Pass H/E

 

not to mention CA heat exchanger is impossible to get due to them being on backorder, ive been waiting for like 2 months to get mine, im number 7 on the list so hopefully ill get it soon.

Is it possible to buy a cobra heat exchanger off of LFP, like an aftermarket one and use the cobra mounting brackets that bwoody sells for our cars to mount it on a Cobalt SS/SC or do the mounting brackets only work with the stock cobra heat exchanger?

 

Which Heat Exchanger would you Buy the cobra or something else and is there any other cooling mod (other than meth) that i can do on top of the heat exchanger?

Folks i am still CONFUSSEED?? Where can I buy a heat exchanger which is readily available i have been searching for hourss.. i need a little help please, I am looking for a heat exchanger i dont know where to find it which vendor has it? I need as much cooling as possible (without the use of methh) tell me wich vendor i could go to to find all of my cooling neeedds

 

I'm confused on why your car is running hot or why you think that. Are your IAT2s up or is it the coolant? You just say it's hot but it really shouldn't be too much hotter then stock with stage 2.

My bad its the coolant.. But i cant find the cobra heat exchanger and a dual pass intercooler which vendor would sell it? (could you give me a link) i need to buy it asap plus i wanna keep the blower as kool as possible as well as the coolant MINUS the meth

 

ur not gonna find the cobra heat exchanger on any vendors website. either check the cobra forums or ebay thats the only place your gonna find them. You can buy the dual pass on crate engine depot and cobalt addiction. I dont know if they are on any other websites?

 

Does the stcok ss come with a a duall pass? or does the stage 2 come with it or am i wrong? Ya the CA Front Fron mount is a 4 week wait! lolol oh well i guess its worth it.

 

no the stage 3 comes with the dual pass but it is not emissions legal. You have to buy the dual pass seperate. It's longerthan a week wait, they just say that so you know your waiting, like i say i ordered mine may 2nd and i still havent got it lol. but im 7th on the list so hopefully ill get it soon.

 

If your coolant is runing hot it has nothing to do with the s/c i presume....I would check your thermostat it could be messed up...how hot is your temp gauge reading...I normally get about 181 degrees under normal driving.
